2016 International Air Mail Rate Increases January 20, 2016 08:12

Effective January 19, 2016

Each January marks the time where the United States Postal Services revises their postage rates and this year is no different. In 2015, the USPS held rates steady as they had increased rates by 86% on average in the prior year and 2016 marks another substantial increase in International shipping rates as well as domestic.

One of our core business principals is sending smiles around the world. Our office map of the world is loaded with customers from nearly every spot on the globe and we love hearing from our worldwide customers. We know that there are two phenomenom occurring: Increased rates and a strengthening of the U.S. Dollar against most currencies. At, we have done everything that we can do to mitigate the costs increases, so here's some of the details.

Up until this point, USPS Air Mail prices varied based upon every few ounces and that now varies by every half pound. Once you go from 15.9 ounces to one pound, the rates nearly double. Based on our customer ordering patterns, we're looking at an average increase of shipping cost of 28% per order. This applies to all countries other than Canada. For our friends in Canada, in three years, we have seen a doubling of rates. USPS rates to Canada and Mexico are lower than other all other International locations, but gaps are closing in.

Here's our policy and what we're doing:

  • You're paying our cost.
  • The shipping rate is for the cost of shipping and packaging.

It's really that simple. We're not marking up the cost, you're paying the cost of shipping from us, period. Please keep in mind that lightweight packages for items like stickers, pins, and costume props remain lower in price.

Thank you for your continued business!

2016 Shipping Increases & Quality Matters January 14, 2016 08:29

As we near our 18th anniversary in business, the Team has seen shipping rates rise well above inflation year after year with no slowdown in sight. All three major carriers are increasing shipping charges that will generally increase rates by 12%-23% based upon delivery location, weight, and package size.

Outside of some major corporations that subsidize shipping with "free" or ultra-low rates, it just isn't reality for all the other businesses that constitute nearly all the mail-order merchants in the United States. We have done everything possible to mitigate shipping costs even switching to our extremely fair flat-rate shipping system.

Here at, we're not a behemoth company with shareholders and the bottom line trumping all. We provide exciting and unique products with many of them being exclusively produced for us. The difference is that we are very keen on quality control. Do you ever notice that you might go to a certain store and they or their merchants have prices that way lower than elsewhere? We understand that your first inclination might be that it's awesome because the prices are so low. Many times, they are so low that the products are actually being sold below the cost that the business paid. But, things aren't always as they appear.

We've found that so many products are cheap knockoffs that fail. In our world of toys and novelties, we find that many competitors are using way thinner plastics or parts that are made to fail. It's one of our major differences, we seek out quality products, quality materials, and provide to you quality care.

As for the 2016 shipping rate increases, as of today, we're holding steady with out flat-rate shipping charge within the United States. Our average package shipping rate will be increasing 18%. We simply want to let you know how much we value your business and we're doing absolutely everything we can to mitigate the cost increase.

We also invite you to view our first Vlog that directly addresses the issue of quality control and product standards.

2014 Shipping Carrier Increases February 11, 2014 14:55

All of the major carriers (USPS, UPS, & FedEx) have increased their rates in what has become an annual ritual the past several years. The average increase works out to about 5.6% over the 2013 pricing. As we wrote about in 2013, we went through and altered many of our shipping rates to reduce them as greatly as possible in order to provide the lowest rates possible. Not only did we reduce the rates, we added in additional tiers to bring down costs even further.
With the 2014 increases implemented by the carriers, we've been able to absorb the cost in all pricing tiers except for our base United States Standard Shipping, which we've had to increase the rate by 25 cents. That's not too bad! All international rates have remained unchanged.

Lower Shipping Prices and Changes September 30, 2013 07:54

We constantly listen to your feedback and work to make changes to help our customers as much as possible. One of the biggest sticking points in mail-order shopping is the cost of shipping. We've worked for many years to offer very competitive and low rates, amongst the lowest in our industry.

As you know, some of the big corporations can offer all sorts of shipping discounting, promotions, etc., as they absorb the cost of losing money on shipping all of those packages. As small and medium sized businesses can tell you worldwide, we simply don't have the ability to do so.

We genuinely appreciate your support of small and medium sized business like us at! So, we've continued to tweak our shipping rates and here are some of the changes. Let us begin within the United States.

United States Standard Shipping Pricing Changes

  • For orders totaling $.01-$2.49, our shipping rate is now $3.00. We have reduced the cost by .99
  • For orders totaling $2.50-$3.99, our shipping rate is now $3.60. We have reduced the cost by .40

Additional United States Standard Shipping Changes

  • We've found that many of our guests do not consult our Shipping Guide while they are in the shop and when checking out, they've simply seen our options listed as Standard Delivery, Expedited Delivery, and Overnight Delivery. Accompanying those shipping options are now a guideline of delivery time for each shipping service.
  • As noted earlier in the year, your USPS tracking information contains additional details and is updated up to 11 times along the way from our facility to your address.

We've worked tirelessly to come up with ways to lower small order shipping prices and the tweaking of our pricing truly gets the product to you while covering our shipping costs. Please consult our Shipping Guide for additional shipping rates and details.

International Air Mail Shipping Pricing Changes

In late January, the United States Postal Service increased shipping rates for International Air Mail by 86% to the countries that we most frequently ship to. In doing so, our Air Mail prices have reflected the nearly doubling of the rates. We've done everything that we can do in terms of bringing the rates as low as possible and after shipping costs and expenses, we're shipping to you at cost. We've made a few changes, so here they are:

  • Shipping rates have been recalculated and are exclusively based upon the weight of the package.
  • For our Canadian customers, we've been able to reduce shipping costs to Canada by up to 45%
  • Air Mail to Europe and Australia has been reduced up to 35%

We will continue to evaluate and adjust any other shipping options where possible. We greatly appreciate that you've chosen us at and we are constantly working to keep costs as low for you as possible.

Improved USPS Tracking Information August 16, 2013 06:45

For our customers here in the United States, the United States Postal Service has introduced improved USPS tracking on packages. Order with our expedited shipping will see a posted estimated delivery date along with tracking details throughout each and every step of the process from our facility to your address. For standard delivery, the USPS will show details throughout, but it may not show the estimated date of delivery, which depending on your location is 1-4 business days.

Expanded International Tracking Information August 15, 2013 06:49

As of the 28th of July, the USPS (United States Postal Service) has expanded their tracking number capabilities for International Air Mail. Up until this point, other than Canada, tracking information was extremely limited with data just showing where packages were before they were handed off to US Customs and final delivery confirmation. Effective immediately, the following countries have tracking that includes expanded tracking throughout the delivery process in addition to full delivery confirmation:

Great Britain
New Zealand

Major United States Postal Service International Air Mail Increases January 29, 2013 14:03

One thing that makes us very proud at is our worldwide operation. We proudly ship around the globe and have done so for nearly 15 years. With that being noted, we must inform our international customers that the United States Postal Service has increased our mailing costs from 55-80% worldwide. We are mitigating the costs as much as possible and the rates that you have for shipments is as low as we can now offer them as we offer lower rates than almost anyone in the business.

We felt that it was of major importance to make this statement to let you know of this as our customers and that we've done all that is possible to lessen the cost as much as we can.
